This 22 year old single malt was distilled just before the turn of the millennium. The split has matured in American oak barrels before being finished in the finest Haut-Medoc Claret Barriques, carefully maintained by the coopers Loch Lomond. The whisky is bottled at a nice cask strength of 48.2%.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Oak spice, cloves and star anise, currant, raspberry and honey.
Taste: Apple, pear and cherry with vanilla and dark chocolate.
Finish: Warming ginger and wood smoke.
