An indie bottling of Laphroaig released for Hunter Laings First Editions range of single cask whiskies. This 15 year old Islay single malt was aged in a refill butt from 2001 to 2016, producing an outturn of 244 bottles.
A full bodied nose of strong peat with occasional hints of vanilla custard and honeycomb. The palate has more gentle vanilla, although peat and seaweed again dominate. The finish is long and dry, with a lingering peat aftertaste.
